I began painting little beach people when the world felt manic and stressy like this painting from the year of the pandemic.

The little people I paint live in a soft whimsical place that is free from the heaviness of the world.

I think this is why

Our local beach felt like it was back to it’s bright shimmery self this weekend so I scribbled the feeling down in paint and added a surfer and her dog for good measure 🎀🩴
